By the end of this activity, attendees will be able to:

  • summarize diagnostic differences between hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and other diseases that can cause left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) and apply this information to appropriately diagnose patients
  • identify features suggestive of HCM on an echocardiogram
  • outline electrocardiogram (ECG) findings that are suggestive of HCM and apply to an example patient
  • identify features suggestive of HCM on cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging
