Course Overview

This expert webinar focuses on improving understanding of genetic etiology of HCM and treatment advances in gene therapy. Cardiologists would benefit from understanding the genetic etiology of HCM to provide optimal care for their patients in the future.

  • interpret advances in gene therapy for patients with HCM

This webinar is 60 minutes duration.

By the end of this activity, attendees will be able to: 

  • Describe the genetic etiology of HCM/effects of variants in sarcomere-related genes
  • Explain the role of genetic testing for HCM patient profiling/capturing true disease prevalence
  • Outline the translational pathways involved in MYBPC3-associated HCM
  • Recall principles of gene therapy and summarize emerging data on treatment of HCM

  2. Take the Pre-learning test. This step is optional but helps us to understand how effective the courses are that we create.
  3. Complete the learning activity (e.g, Live webinar or Case study) and when finished click the ‘Next step’ button underneath the content panel.
  4. Complete the Post-learning test and click the ‘Submit answers’ button at the bottom of the test. This step is mandatory, and you must pass with ≥80% correct responses if you wish to earn CE credit(s).
    You may view your responses along with the correct answers and explanatory information after you submit by clicking ‘Review test answers’.
    You can re-take the test as many times as desired by clicking the ‘Re-take test’
  5. Complete the Course evaluation and click the ‘Submit answers’ button at the bottom of the page. You can complete this in part or in full but your responses help us to understand how effective the courses are that we create.
    Then click the ’Continue course’ button on the right of the page.
  6. At the course completion stage, please click the ‘Confirm complete and request certificate’
  7. You can now download your CE credit certificate via the ‘Download Certificate’
