This expert webinar is designed to improve knowledge around the recommendations for exercise and sports participation for patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). It assists secondary healthcare professionals to:
- better understand the exercise physiology in HCM
- describe the overall risks for HCM patients participating in sports and exercise, and make appropriate recommendations and expert referral for further risk assessment
This webinar is 60 minutes duration.

Cardiologists, echocardiographers, electrophysiologists, cardiac sonographers, cardiology nurses, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, physician assistants, pediatricians, pediatric nurses.

By the end of this activity, attendees will be able to:
- outline exercise physiology and effects in patients with HCM
- summarize the potential positive and negative impacts of chronic exercise in patients with HCM

- discuss how recommendations for participation in sporting activities might be individualized for HCM patients
